The Equinix AM3 Data Center required a reliable fire-rated solution for multiple cable penetrations. The installation had to provide 120 minutes of fire resistance while maintaining sufficient flexibility to accommodate future cable expansions with ease.
The IBMO Fire-Rated Box was selected as a certified solution providing 120 minutes of fire resistance. The Fire-Rated Box was custom-manufactured to fit the cable tray and finished with IBMO Fire-Rated Sealant to create a complete fire-resistant seal. In addition, extra cables can easily be added in the future without requiring major modifications to the fire-rated penetration.
A fire-safe, efficient, and future-proof cable penetration solution that meets the highest fire safety standards. Thanks to the 120-minute fire-rated IBMO Fire-Rated Box, only a single custom-made box was required for the cable tray, eliminating the need for multiple connected boxes. The finishing with IBMO Fire-Rated Sealant provided a complete fire-resistant seal and a well-organised installation that can easily be expanded in the future.
