At Chane Europoort, several pipe penetrations within the tank terminal required a reliable sealing solution that complies with the stringent safety requirements for the storage and transfer of liquid bulk products. Due to the limited installation space around several penetrations and the existing pipe configurations, applying a conventional firestop seal was not always feasible. At the same time, the penetrations had to withstand fire, liquids, and chemical exposure to ensure the safety and operational continuity of the terminal.
For this application, the IBMO 3-in-1 Wrap Seal was selected. This flexible sealing solution has been specifically developed for situations where a standard seal is difficult or impossible to install. Because the Wrap Seal is simply wrapped around the pipe, it enables a high-quality seal even in confined installation spaces.
By using the IBMO 3-in-1 Wrap Seal, the pipe penetrations at the Chane Terminal have been sealed safely and durably. The solution complies with the applicable PGS 29 requirements and provides long-term protection against fire, leakage, and chemical exposure. Its straightforward installation and reliable performance have resulted in a low-maintenance solution that contributes to the safe and efficient operation of the terminal.
